$269 per Trainee (plus $549 flat fee per class - no minimum class size)
For experienced operators only, get three certifications in one day of training: Aerial Boom Lift, Scissor Lift, and Fall Protection Essentials.

Aerial Work Platform Combined Operator Certification
IVES Training Group’s comprehensive WorkSafeBC-compliant curriculum for both Aerial Boom Lift and Scissor Lift in one course.
Fall Protection Essentials Certification
This half-day course will provide an overview of fall protection principles and the essential equipment components used in a basic personal fall restraint or arrest system. The course includes challenge questions, workbook exercises, and other interactive instructional techniques to enhance student learning.
Covers fall hazard identification, fundamentals of working at height, fall protection oversight, basic system components, pre-use inspections, harness donning and inspection.
Equipment:
Scissor Lift & Boom Lift, MEWP Type 3 Group A & B (we train on your equipment at your jobsite)
Fall protection equipment relevant to course material will be supplied by Benbow Safety Training for trainee use during training.
Duration: 8-12 hours (includes theory, written exams, & practical evaluations)
Location: Your jobsite
Class Size: 1 to 8 (experienced operators only)
Certification Criteria:
80% on MEWP written exam, 70% on FallPro written exam
Competency Demonstrated on practical evaluations
Certification Length: 3 years
Training Standard Compliance: CSA B354.8 (for aerial work platforms)

Documentation:
Trainees will receive
Operator’s Reference Manual & an Operator Wallet Card (if certification criteria passed) for Aerial Boom Lift and Scissor Lift.
Student Manual, 30-day Temporary Wallet Card & 3-year Wallet Card (if certification criteria passed) for Fall Protection Essentials.
Employers will receive
Original records of MEWP certification including exam and practical evaluation
Digital record of Fall Protection Essential certification.
Benbow Safety Training retains copies of MEWP course documents and original Fall Protection Essentials documentation.
Travel Costs:
No travel costs for courses delivered on southern Vancouver Island (south of Nanaimo).
Elsewhere on the island and the rest of BC, travel costs will be added to the course fees and are calculated when you request a quote.
